Online BMI, BMR/TDEE, Body Fat and Waist-to-Hip Calculators

Free online BMI, BMR/TDEE, body fat (U.S. Navy method) and waist-to-hip ratio calculators. Metric/imperial, male/female, instant WHO and Mifflin–St Jeor classifications — all local.

Four standalone metrics

BMI, BMR/TDEE, body fat/lean mass and waist-to-hip each have their own focused page.

Authoritative formulas

WHO, Mifflin–St Jeor and U.S. Navy public standards with verifiable results.

Metric & imperial

cm/kg and ft-in/lb with one toggle, plus separate men’s and women’s calculations.

FinCompute’s body-metrics module brings together four standalone tools: BMI (Body Mass Index), BMR basal metabolism with TDEE total daily expenditure, body fat percentage with lean body mass (U.S. Navy circumference method), and waist-to-hip ratio. Metric/imperial, male/female, all computed locally in your browser — free, no sign-up.

Why use several metrics together

BMI uses only height and weight and cannot tell muscle from fat, while body fat and waist-to-hip reveal body composition and fat distribution. Keeping the tools together lets you cross-check — a muscular person may have a high BMI but low body fat and a normal waist, which means something very different from a "normal-weight" person with excess visceral fat.

Authoritative, verifiable formulas

BMI follows WHO adult categories (with Chinese WS/T 428-2013 cut-offs noted), BMR uses the Mifflin–St Jeor equation recommended by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics with a Harris–Benedict comparison, body fat uses the U.S. Navy method, and WHR thresholds reference the WHO obesity consultation report.

Metric and imperial, one toggle

Switch freely between cm/kg and ft-in/lb with instant conversion; the male/female option affects the body fat, BMR and waist-to-hip formulas and thresholds.

Local-first privacy built in

Height, weight, age and circumferences are sensitive personal data. This module has no backend, analytics SDK or tracking cookies; all numbers stay in your browser and can be cleared any time from the history panel.

FAQ

QAre the body-metrics calculators accurate?
A

All formulas use public authoritative standards, but they are population estimates. Individuals vary in body composition, hormones and health conditions, so results are for reference and are not medical advice.

QIs my height and weight uploaded?
A

No. Every calculation runs locally in your browser; there is no data endpoint or third-party analytics, and the tools even work offline.

QWhich should I look at — BMI, BMR, body fat or WHR?
A

They complement each other: BMI quickly screens weight, BMR/TDEE guides calories, body fat reflects composition and WHR flags visceral fat. Use them together.

QCan these results diagnose disease?
A

No. They provide health screening and lifestyle reference, not a diagnosis. If you have weight or metabolic concerns, consult a clinician or registered dietitian.
