How we handle your data
Local-first · No tracking · No accounts
This Privacy Policy explains what data FinCompute processes and how. The short version: FinCompute runs entirely in your browser. There is no backend server that receives your inputs, no user accounts, and no third-party analytics or advertising trackers. The numbers you enter — salary, loan amount, and so on — never leave your device.
01 Data you enter into calculators
All calculations (mortgage, tax, loan, unit conversion) are performed with JavaScript inside your own browser. Your inputs are not transmitted to us or to any third party. Once the page has loaded, the tools continue to work even if you disconnect from the internet.
02 Local storage on your device
To improve your experience, we store a small amount of data in your browser’s local storage. This data stays on your device and is never sent to a server.
- Your interface theme (dark or light) and selected language.
- Your most recent calculation inputs and a short history of recent calculations, shown in the history panel.
- You can clear the calculation history at any time from the history panel, or clear all site data from your browser settings.
03 Cookies
We use a single functional cookie (named "fincompute_locale") to remember your language preference so the correct language is served on your next visit. We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.
04 Third parties and hosting
FinCompute is a static website served from a content delivery network. As with any website, the hosting/CDN provider may process standard technical request logs (such as IP address and user agent) for security and delivery purposes; FinCompute itself does not add any analytics or tracking on top of that. We do not sell or share any personal data, because we do not collect any.
05 Children’s privacy
FinCompute is a general-purpose calculator and is not directed at children. Because we do not collect personal data, we do not knowingly process any information from children.
